Ref. No.: Advisory-BKKPE-03-2022
Effective 01 April 2022, the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok informs the Filipino community that documents issued in the Philippines (e.g. PSA-issued documents, including Certificates of Birth, Marriage, and Death, and No Marriage Record / School Documents / Court Documents etc.) for use in Thailand, shall be required to have a valid Philippine apostille when availing legalization (acknowledgement) and certification services at the Embassy.
The Embassy continues to provide legalization and certification services as alternative consular procedures for those who are unable to present their apostilled Philippine documents for authentication by the Royal Thai Embassy in Manila, which is required before they can be used for legal purposes in Thailand.
Filipinos are encouraged to obtain an apostille for their Philippine-issued documents at the earliest opportunity to avoid any inconvenience.
