On 2 November 2017, Ambassador Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon attended the attended the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition on the Royal Cremation Ceremony of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at Sanam Luang Ceremonial Grounds, presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
The exhibition will be open to the public on 2-30 November 2017 at the Royal Crematorium and supplementary structures at Sanam Luang Ceremonial Grounds. It features His Majesty’s biography and royally initiated development projects nationwide as well as His Majesty’ role in promoting Thailand’s diplomatic relations abroad. The exhibition also illustrates the construction of the Royal Crematorium, the renovation of royal chariots and palanquins, architectural works and artistic creations.
