On 21 September 2017, Ambassador Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon attended opening ceremony of Digital Thailand Big Bang 2017 last 21 September 2017 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.

Thailand’s Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-o-cha, along with other Cabinet Members, presided over the grand opening ceremony of the 4-day event under the concept of Digital Transformation Thailand organized by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC).

The event aims to stimulate digital investment of leading digital technology companies in and outside the country to enhance the digital capabilities of communities and industries including SMEs. It is also a way to create an ecosystem that helps Thailand to grow and prosper in business and to enhance the quality of life for people in society.
