Ambassador Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia called on Dr. Noeleen Heyzer, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and United Nations Undersecretary, to bid her farewell on 23 January 2014.

During the call, the Ambassador congratulated Dr. Heyzer for a successful leadership of UNESCAP and her commitment to fulfilling UNESCAP’s mandate. She likewise conveyed her warm wishes to Dr. Heyzer  for her next assignment as the Special Adviser of the United Nations Secretary General for Timor-Leste.

Dr. Heyzer ends her tour of duty as UNESCAP Executive Secretary on 31 January 2014.
