The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, in cooperation with the Filipino Heritage Festival and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, hosted a Filipiniana Fashion Show, Lecture and Exhibit featuring Filipiniana creations by Ms. Cora de Jesus Manimbo and Philippine filigree jewelry by Mr. Oscar A. Atendido as part of the activities to celebrate the 118^th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence.

The Filipiniana Lecture & Exhibit, A Heritage Event, was held on 12 June 2016 at the Embassy Conference Room during the Barrio Fiesta celebration of the members of the Filipino Community in Thailand.  Cultural Attache Sylvia Reyes introduced Ms. Sophia Therese Manimbo, daughter of Ms. Cora Manimbo, and Mr. Oscar Atendido who provided a lecture and presentation on Philippine Weave and Textiles and Philippine Filigree Jewelry, respectively.  Guests of the Embassy were invited to view an exhibit of Filipiniana creations and Philippine filigree jewelry.

The Filipiniana Fashion Show and Exhibit, A Heritage Event, was held on 15 June 2016 during the Embassy-hosted reception celebrating the 118^th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-la Hotel. An exhibit of Filipiniana creations by Ms. Manimbo and Philippine filigree jewelry by Mr. Atendido were displayed in one section of the grand ballroom while volunteer models from the Philippine Embassy and Filipino community showcased the creations of Ms. Manimbo and Mr. Atendido in a fashion show.
