The Filipino community in Thailand will celebrate the 118th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence with the traditional annual Barrio Fiesta on Sunday 12 June 2016.
This year's organizing committee includes the Association of Filipinos in Thailand (AFT), the Association of the Miraculous Medal (AMM), the Philippine-Thai Business Club (PTBC), the Tau Gamma Phi/Sigma-Thailand Council (TGP), the United Filipinos in Thailand (UFT), the Virgin of Peñafrancia Association (VOPA) and members of the Filipino community who volunteered to ensure the success of the event.
Barrio Fiesta 2016 brings together Filipino families and friends in the spirit of nationalism in an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. As in previous Barrio Fiestas, the event will showcase Filipino food and products and will be packed with lots of fun, games, singing, dancing, cultural presentations and exciting raffle prizes.
