H.E. Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon, Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, participated in the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Cultural Expo 2016 presided over by H.E. General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister, on 20 April 2016 at the Royal Field (Sanam Luang), Bangkok.

The Embassy participated in one of the activities of the Expo called the “ASEAN Kitchen: A Taste of ASEAN” which showcased ASEAN cuisine in every booth of participating ASEAN member countries through culinary demonstratiosn of main dishes and desserts, food selling and free tasting.
The Expo also presented various activities and exhibits for the public to enjoy, such as ASEAN Kites, ASEAN Arts & Crafts, ASEAN Legacy to Contemporary Fashion, ASEAN Wonders, exhibit and selling of Thai products, food and delicacies from the different regions of Thailand and ASEAN Plus Ramayana with country performances from India, Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Laos, Singapore, Cambodia and Philippines.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture in conjunction with the celebration of the 234th Anniversary of Bangkok under Royal Benevolence held at the Royal Field (Sanam Luang) from 20 to 24 April 2016 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
