The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, in collaboration with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts—Sentro Rizal Secretariat, and Srinakharinwirot University, organized the First Sentro Rizal Film Festival in Bangkok, Thailand on 29 January 2016, at the Asok Montri Music & Performing Arts Hall I, Asok Montri Building, Srinakharinwirot University.

SRFF screened the following award-winning films by Philippine production companies: K’na The Dreamweaver, directed by Ida Anita del Mundo; Bonifacio: Unang Pangulo, directed by Enzo Williams; and Heneral Luna, directed by Jerrold Tarog.
