Ambassador Batoon-Garcia participated in a dialogue during the conference entitled “Era of the ASEAN Economic Community: Scenarios, Stakes and Strategies” on 25 March 2015, at Plaza Athenee Hotel in Bangkok. Ambassador Batoon-Garcia encouraged participants to equally understand and discover the opportunities brought about by the politico-security, economic, and socio-cultural pillars of the ASEAN Community.

The dialogue was organized by the Institute of Security and International Studies (ISIS), Nikkei Asian Review, and Thamassat University at Plaza Atenee in Bangkok. The dialogue was moderated by Dr. Thitinan Pongsudhirak, the Director of ISIS, and was attended by two hundred fifty (250) guests from the business sector, academe, media, and the diplomatic community in Thailand.
