Amb. Batoon Garcia calls on Phrae Gov. Somboonto and Vice Gov. Thanakorn Ungjitpaisan

On 11 November 2014, Ambassador Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia and Embassy officials called on Governor Sak Somboonto of the Province of Phrae in Northwestern Thailand. Ambassador Batoon-Garcia and the Governor exchanged ideas on how to promote economic relations, including trade and tourism, between Phrae and the Philippines. They discussed steps to improve coordination on activities between and concerns of the Filipino community and the local government units. They talked about the Filipino community’s constructive role in Phrae. Amb. Batoon-Garcia introduced the incoming Philippine Honorary Consul, Mr. Agkarajit Phanomvan Na Ayudhya, to the Governor, local officials, and the Filipino community.
