The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a Consular Outreach Program for Filipinos in Udon Thani Province and nearby areas on 11 October 2014. During the outreach, the Embassy also registered Filipinos for Overseas Absentee Voting. The Embassy organized the outreach with the assistance of the Samahan ng mg Pilipino sa Northeast Thailand (SPSNET) headed by Ms. Mary Jane Teetipsatit.
During the outreach, the Embassy Team processed applications for ePassports, reports of civil registry records, and issued certifications and Embassy identification cards. Consul Princess Tomas-Tayao held a community dialogue during which she addressed consular-related concerns of the Community, gave a briefing on the ASEAN Community, and run a video on Financial Literacy.
Immigration Officers headed by Police Major Chalermchad Jenkarn also gave a briefing on Thailand’s new immigration policies.
