PIMSO

Thailand’s delegation to the 2025 Philippine International Math and Science Olympic (PIMSO) visited the Philippine Embassy ahead of their participation in the math and science competition in Manila on 04-07 April 2025.

 

BANGKOK, THAILAND - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok welcomed Five (5) Thai students who will compete in the Philippine International Math and Science Olympic (PIMSO) at the iconic Manila Hotel on 4-7 April 2025. 

The Thai students were warmly welcomed by the Deputy Head of Mission Ma. Charmaine D. Guevara, who expressed her well-wishes to the students and encouraged them to form lasting friendships with other participants across the region. She also encouraged the students to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Manila during their stay and suggested that they visit iconic landmarks such as Rizal Park, the National Museum Complex, and Intramuros to experience the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines.

The students, aged between 10 and 18, earned their place to represent Thailand at the PIMSO after winning several rounds of local and national-level competitions.

PIMSO is a premier platform for young students to showcase their talent and knowledge on math and science at a global stage. The competition is expected to draw around 500 participants from 19 countries including Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, among others. The event highlights the Philippines’ commitment in promoting STEM education. END
