BANGKOK, 19 AUGUST 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a consular and assistance-to-nationals (ATN) outreach mission in Hat Yai City, Songkhla Province, Thailand on 17 August 2024 to provide passport, notarial, civil registry, and ATN services to the Filipino community in Southern Thailand.

Overseas Filipinos were also able to update their overseas voter records, as well as register as first-time voters in preparation for the next midterm Philippine elections in 2025.

The Embassy was pleased to officiate the wedding of a Filipino couple based in Narathiwat Province, Thailand at the consular outreach mission.

According to latest records of the Thai Immigration Bureau, Songkhla Province and the nearby Thai provinces of Narathiwat, Yala, Satun, Pattani, Phatthalung, Trang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Surat Thani host an estimated 1,200 overseas Filipinos, many of whom are employed as school teachers. END
