BANGKOK, 08 AUGUST 2024 – The University of the Philippines Men's Football Team, recently crowned champions of UAAP Season 86, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Millicent Cruz Paredes on Monday, 05 August 2024 at the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok.
The team, led by head coach Mr. Randolfo Paolo "Popoy" Clarino, is currently in Thailand for a training camp and to engage in friendly matches with several Thai elite teams.
The courtesy call was an opportunity for the team members-the athletes, coaches and managers-to connect with the Ambassador, share their experiences, and express their aspirations and future goals.
Ambassador Paredes extended her warm congratulations to the team on their remarkable achievement and expressed her pride in representing the Philippines on the international stage. She emphasized the importance of sports in fostering national pride and unity and encouraged the team to continue striving for excellence. The Ambassador offered her support and best wishes as they prepare for their upcoming competitions.
