BANGKOK, 22 JULY 2024 - Philippine Ambassador to Thailand and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Millicent Cruz Paredes paid a courtesy call on Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Director-General for International Organizations, Ms. Pinsuyada Jayanama, at the MFA Headquarters on 19 July 2024.

Ambassador Paredes and Director-General Pinsuda exchanged updates on the respective initiatives of the Philippines and Thailand in UNESCAP and other international organizations. The Ambassador also thanked the Director-General for Thailand’s support for Philippine candidatures to UN bodies.

They affirmed the continued strong cooperation between the Philippines and Thailand in areas of mutual concern at the multilateral level, in addition to the close Philippines-Thailand bilateral relations and people-to-people ties.

During the call, Ambassador Paredes briefed Director-General Pinsuda on the activities of the milestone 75th anniversary of the establishment of Philippines-Thailand bilateral relations in 2024. END
