BANGKOK, 17 JULY 2024 - Philippine Ambassador to Thailand and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Millicent Cruz Paredes paid a courtesy call on Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Director-General for ASEAN Affairs, Mr. Bolbongse Vangphaen, at the MFA headquarters on 16 July 2024.

Ambassador Paredes and Director-General Bolbongse exchanged insights on regional developments including preparations for the upcoming 57th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings to be held in Vientiane, Lao PDR on 21-27 July 2024.

Ambassador Paredes and Director-General Bolbongse affirmed the continued close cooperation between the Philippines and Thailand in ASEAN as fellow founding Member States. END.
