BANGKOK, 15 JULY 2024 - A group of eight (8) students from the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, and De La Salle University were chosen to participate in this year's ASEAN University Network (AUN)-Thailand Summer Camp hosted by Chulalongkorn University and Mahidol University, held from July 1-12 in Bangkok, Thailand.
With a program that focused on medical tourism, the students were immersed in a series of lectures, workshops, and visits to renowned hospitals affiliated with Chulalongkorn University and Mahidol University, and gained firsthand insights into Thailand's dynamic medical tourism sector. They had the opportunity to learn about the interplay between healthcare practices, cultural contexts, and economic considerations within the country’s healthcare/medical system.
To share their achievements as Philippine representatives at the AUN -Thailand Summer Camp, the students paid a brief courtesy visit on Ambassador Millicent Cruz Paredes, who congratulated them on their selection to the program. Ambassador Paredes encouraged them to harness their experiences and learnings not only to foster personal growth but also to contribute actively to their respective universities, their communities and most importantly, to nation building.

Sembrano from the University of the Philippines; Jaymee Louise Bulan Sablaya and Cyrinne Denisse Ramos Centeno from Ateneo de Manila University; and Margarette Castillo Buenafe, Trisha Mae Balingit Salenga and Ma.
