BANGKOK, 01 April 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a consular and assistance-to-nationals (ATN) outreach mission in Phuket, Thailand on 23-24 March 2024 to provide passport, notarial, civil registry, and ATN services to Filipinos in the southern Thailand region.
Over 200 members of the Filipino community in Phuket and its neighboring areas availed the above consular services during the two-day mission.
Some 57 members of the Filipino community were also able to update their overseas voter records, as well as register as first-time voters in preparation for the next midterm Philippine elections in 2025.
Many of the estimated 1,076 Filipinos in Phuket and its neighboring provinces are employed in schools, hotels, restaurants, and hospitality industries. END
