BANGKOK, 02 OCTOBER 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a consular and assistance-to-nationals (ATN) outreach mission in Chiang Rai, Thailand on 30 September 2023 to provide passport, notarial, civil registry services, assistance to nationals (ATN) and overseas voter registration (OV) services to Filipinos in the northern Thailand region.

A total of 98 services have been availed by the members of the Filipino community in Chiang Rai and its neighboring provinces in the one-day mission.

Overseas voter registration services for first-time overseas voters is being provided in preparation for the midterm Philippine elections in 2025.

Chiang Rai and its neighboring provinces are home to an estimated number of 700 Filipinos, working mostly as teachers and missionaries. END
