Pre-processing at the Consular and ATN Outreach Mission
BANGKOK, 29 August 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a consular and assistance-to-nationals (ATN) outreach mission in Phuket, Thailand on 26-27 August 2023 to provide passport, notarial, civil registry services, and ATN services to Filipinos in the southern Thailand region.
Over 200 members of the Filipino community in Phuket and its neighboring areas took part in the two-day mission.
During the outreach mission, members of the Filipino community were also able to register as first-time overseas voters in preparation for the next mid-term Philippine elections in 2025.
Many of the estimated 1,344 Filipinos in Phuket and its neighboring provinces including Krabi and Surat Thani are employed in the hotel, restaurant, and hospitality industries of the world-famous tourist destination. END
