Upon the invitation of the Office of the Prime Minister through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Embassy, together with other ASEAN embassies, joined the Thailand National Children’s Day at the Government House on 12 January 2013. It was the first time that the diplomatic corps has been invited to join the annual event. With children representing all the ASEAN-member countries in attendance, the aim of the whole-day celebration was to raise the children’s awareness of the ASEAN community.

The Philippine Embassy also participated in a separate Children’s Day celebration organized by the Thai Ministry of Education on 12 January 2013.
