26 April 2023, Bangkok - The Philippines’ very own Bibak Thailand Dance Troupe performed on 22 April 2023 at the National Museum Bangkok for the 241st Anniversary of the Foundation of Rattanakosin that was organized by the Ministry of Culture. For the international performance portion, performers from the Philippines, China and India were featured.

The outstanding performance of the Bibak Thailand Dance Troupe included three (3) significant folk dances of the communities in the Mountain Province and parts of Benguet: the Balangbang, a common community dance from the Western Mountain Province, particularly the Kankanaey tribe; Dinuya, a courtship dance, and; the eagle dance from the eastern Mountain Province.

Third Secretary and Vice Consul Susan Phoebe R. Sabado and Cultural Attaché Evonne Avril B. Manayao represented the Embassy at the event. END
