Bangkok, 21 April 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Thailand H.E. Millicent Cruz Paredes paid a courtesy call on Pol. Maj. Gen. Phanthana Nutchanart, Deputy Commissioner, Immigration Bureau, Royal Thai Police, on 20 April 2023. Ambassador Paredes reiterated the Philippine Government’s sincere appreciation to the Thai Immigration Bureau for the cooperation and assistance extended to distressed Filipino nationals who were stranded in Thailand during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to those who have been victims of human trafficking related to online investment scam operations in the Mekong region. Both sides committed to continue working closely together for the protection of Filipino nationals in Thailand. END
