Bangkok, 20 August 2022 – Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Millicent Cruz Paredes, together with her daughter Alexis Rebecca and Cultural Officer Ms. Evonne Avril Manayao, participated in the Foster Child Meets the Parent Day, an annual event organized by the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) in commemoration of National Mother’s Day on 12 August, which is the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. It provides an opportunity for the children to meet their foster parents from the diplomatic corps, and for organizers to raise funds for scholarships of children in need.
The event was organized in partnership with the Diplomatic Participants Committee of the annual YWCA International Charity Bazaar composed of the spouses of the Heads of the diplomatic corps and female Ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Thailand. END
