BANGKOK, 02 MAY 2022 – A team from the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a consular outreach mission held at the Anantara Chiang Mai Resort in Mueang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand on 30 April 2022 to provide passport, notarial, and civil registry services to Filipinos in northern Thailand.

The consular outreach mission was held in parallel with a Mobile Overseas Voting Mission for the 2022 Philippine National Elections. Overseas Filipino voters from Chiang Mai and the neighboring provinces of Chiang Rai and Nan dropped off their accomplished ballots at the official dropbox at the mission venue.

Chiang Mai and its neighboring provinces host an estimated 1,500 Filipinos. Many of whom are employed as teachers and missionaries. END
