Bangkok, 03 March 2022 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, led by Ambassador Millicent Cruz Paredes, participated in the 55th Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar held at the Royal Paragon Hall at Siam Paragon on 03 - 06 March 2022. The Bazaar, which is under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, is annually organized by the Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS) in collaboration with the Diplomatic Participants Committee (DPC) composed of members of the diplomatic corps in Thailand, in order to raise funds for the needy and underprivileged children and women of Thailand. As in the previous years, Princess Sirindhorn presided over the Opening Ceremony.
Originally, the bazaar was part of the Annual Thai Red Cross Society Fair which was first held around the pond at Suan Amporn beginning in 1967. After several changes through the years, the bazaar eventually moved to the Royal Paragon Hall in 2006. END
