09 March 2022, Bangkok – Philippine Ambassador Millicent Cruz Paredes kicked off National Women’s Month at the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok at its virtual flag-raising ceremony held on 07 March.
Among the Embassy’s line-up of activities for the month are: celebration of International Women’s Day, participation in the “Ambassador for a Day” program, purple Tuesdays and the posting of National Women’s Month posters and banners in various areas of the Embassy.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Ambassador Paredes participated in the regional commemoration at the UN Conference Center which was attended by members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of UN agencies in Bangkok. The Embassy also hosted two female Thai students who won places in the “Ambassador for a Day” program initiated by lady Ambassadors in Thailand.
Embassy personnel also organized a palaro to expose the Thai students to popular Philippine games. END.
