Bangkok, 02 October 2019: The Examination Team from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) headed by Atty. Nilo N. Martin, with assistance from the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, successfully conducted the Third (3rd) Special Licensure Examination for Teachers (SPLET) on 29 September 2019 at the Ekamai International School in Bangkok, Thailand. The 2019 SPLET garnered the highest number of examinees, three hundred forty-five (345), since exams began in Thailand in 2017.

Before the actual date of examination, the Examination Team met with the pre-qualified examinees at the Embassy’s Conference Room for two days, 27-28 September 2019, to check their original documents and to distribute their respective Notices of Admission (NOA).

Passing the SPLET will be an opportunity for Filipinos working in Thailand as teaching professionals to contribute in the future to the successful implementation of the new K to 12 Basic Education Program of the Philippines and ensure that the promise of a “demographic dividend” owing to the country’s huge base of young people is realized.
