BANGKOK, 1 April 2019 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok organized the talk entitled “Helpline: Services for Women and Persons with Disabilities provided the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security” on 30 March 2019 at the Philippine Embassy, in observance of National Women’s Month and Women with Disabilities Day.
Ms. Darunee Manussavanish, Director of the Social Assistance Center of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, served as a speaker during the event. She discussed the functions of the Social Assistance Center as well as the system followed in processing cases received, particularly those involving women, the elderly, youth, children, marginalized persons and persons with disabilities.
During the open forum, some Filipino community leaders signified their intention to visit and know more about the operations of the Social Assistance Center, and expressed willingness to collaborate with the latter in providing assistance to the Center as a way of serving fellow Filipinos in Thailand.
