On 30 October 2018, Ambassador Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon attended the opening ceremony of the BPW International Asia-Pacific Regional Conference 3918 entitled “Empowering Women to Realize Sustainable Development Goals”, held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan, Bangkok.

The conference was organized by the International Federation of Business and Professional Women and was joined by over 400 business and professional women leaders from over 30 countries. The conference aimed to find out how business and professional women contribute toward UN Sustainable Development Goals in the Asia-Pacific Region and brainstorm on how to formulate strategies to empower women to contribute even more for SDGs and sustainable development of BPW International.

At the conference, former Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Delia A. Albert spoke on “Women Accelerating Toward Sustainable Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific”.
