BANGKOK, 2 November 2018- The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok organized a Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar on 27 October 2018 as part of its Gender and Development program. Twenty-three (23) participants attended the seminar. Information provided during the seminar included the work of the Embassy, its officers, sections and functions, issues affecting Filipinos in Thailand (including cases were women and children are most vulnerable), overview of the Thai Social Security System and Medical Insurance, overview of the Philippine Security Social Security System (SSS) and PhilHealth benefits (specifically benefits available to Overseas Filipinos (OFs) and their dependents) and how OFs and their families can prepare for entrepreneurship
