Subject :    Guidelines for Sending Donations for the Flood Victims in the Philippines

Individuals or organizations who would like to help the flood victims in the Philippines may send their cash or material donations directly to the Philippines through any of the following government and non-government agencies:

A.  Government Agencies:

1.    Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)

For cash donations:

Please note that Administrative Order No. 06, Series of 2010, titled “Revised Omnibus Guidelines in the Management and Processing of Donations,” discourages  donations consisting of USED CLOTHING.

3.    National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC)

Direct deposit or telegraphic transfer may be sent to DBP Account No. 0435-021927-130 with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).

B.    Non-Government Agencies

1.    Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC)

Please visit the Philippine National Red Cross website at www.redcross.org.ph for the guidelines and procedure on sending cash and material donations to the agency, as well as for the list of Philippine banks where you may send your cash donations.

Following are the guidelines for material donations to the PNRC:

a.    Send a letter of intent to donate to the PRC.
b.    A letter of acceptance from PRC shall be sent back to the donor.
c.    Immediately after shipping the goods, send the (i.) original Deed of Donation, (ii.) copy of packing list, and (iii.) original Airway Bill for air shipments or Bill of Lading for sea shipments. Address your donation to:

PRC also discourages donations of USED/OLD CLOTHES as there are already more than enough of these in Manila.
