The Embassy hereby informs the Filipino Community that eighty-six (86) representatives from the Philippines, under the auspices of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) , will be competing across nineteen (19) skill areas during the 12th ASEAN Skills Competition. The event will be held in Thailand as “WorldSkills ASEAN Bangkok 2018.” The biennial competition is the largest vocational education and skills excellence event in the ASEAN.
In view of this, everyone is invited to support the Philippine representatives during the competition, who will compete in the following skill areas:

- Beauty therapy
- Cooking
- Electrical installations;
- Electronics
- Fashion technology
- Graphic design technology
- Hairdressing
- Industrial automation
- Information network cabling
- IT network systems administration
- IT software solutions for business
- Mechanical engineering – computer aided design (CAD)
- Mechatronics
- Mobile robotics
- Refrigeration and air conditioning
- Restaurant service
- Web design and development
- Welding
The competition proper will be held at IMPACT Challenger, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani from 31 August to 2 September 2018 and will be open to the public (for free) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
