The Philippine Embassy informs Filipinos with essential travel plans to, and those residing in Thailand, that the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on the series of explosions in Thai provinces on 11-12 August 2016. According to the statement, the bomb explosions left four (4) people dead and thirty-four (34) injured. It further states that Thai government agencies and local authorities have been instructed to tighten up public order and safety measures to prevent incidents especially in crowded areas and tourist attractions.

The Philippine Embassy advises Filipinos with essential travel plans to, and those residing in Thailand, to observe safety precautions with greater sense of awareness.
