DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE:
The Embassy posts a list of passports on its website that can already be released and claimed. Once the passport application number is listed on the Embassy website, there is guarantee that the passport can already be claimed. Applicants do not have to call the Embassy to re-confirm if their passport is indeed available for claiming. Pursuant to Department Order No. 37-03, all passports unclaimed by the applicants after six (6) months from the date of issuance shall be cancelled.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENT/S:
- Original passport for cancellation (for Renewal of Passport Applicants)
- Affidavit of Loss (for Lost Passport Application)
- Original Receipt
- Claim Stub
SERVICE FEE/S:
- This service is free of charge.
PROCEDURES:
- Passport applicant must verify on the Embassy website if the passport is ready for release;
- Passport applicant must personally appear at the Embassy to claim the passport;
- If the passport applicant is unable to personally claim his/ her passport, a representative may be authorized to do so. The following are the requirements: i. Original signed authorization letter by the owner of the passport for the representative, ii. Old Philippine Passport, iii. Claim stub, iv. Original receipt, and v. Valid identification card of authorized representative.
ESTIMATED PROCESSING TIME:
- Online verification of passport application number: Five (5) minutes
- Claiming of new passport and cancellation of old passport at the Embassy: Fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes depending on the volume of applicants.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Due to the large volume of passport applications, the average waiting time between the date of application and the date of arrival of the new passport in Bangkok, Thailand can take six (6) to eight (8) weeks.
