The Philippine Embassy is deeply saddened by the tragic incident at the Muan International Airport, South Korea, where Jeju Air flight 7C2216, departing from Bangkok, Thailand, crash-landed at the airport.

Based on initial reports provided by local authorities to the Philippine Embassy in Seoul, there are no Filipino nationals among the 181 passengers and crew members of Jeju Air Flight 7C2216.

We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and loved ones of the victims who perished, and offer our heartfelt prayers for the recovery of the survivors of this traumatic event.
