The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok joins the Presidential Office for Maritime Concerns (POMC), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and all Philippine Foreign Service Posts around the world in celebrating Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANAMo) 2024 with the theme "Pamana ng Karagatan: Para sa Kinabukasan, Ating Ingatan” (Let us preserve our ocean heritage towards a brighter future).

The theme highlights the valuable resources offered by our maritime and archipelagic nation, which Filipinos are responsible for protecting, preserving, and enriching to continuously enjoy. Our history, our social interactions, and our livelihood are sustained by these resources. In turn, our maritime heritage has strengthened our solidarity with each other and instilled a strong sense of identity and nationalism.

The Embassy is pleased to share the special message of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. calling on all Filipinos to work together to protect our maritime and archipelagic interests and resources from various threats, for the sake of present and future generations.
