The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, led by H.E. Millicent Cruz Paredes, Ambassador of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Thailand, conveys its warm congratulations and best wishes to H.E. Paetongtarn Shinawatra on the occasion of her appointment as the 31st Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, which was granted royal endorsement on 18 August 2024. Prime Minister Paetongtarn is the second woman to serve as prime minister in the Kingdom’s history.

The Embassy of the Philippines looks forward to working closely with Prime Minister Paetongtarn and her government in enhancing the enduring friendship and strong relations between the Philippines and Thailand.

Both countries celebrate the milestone 75th Anniversary of diplomatic relations this 2024, which honors the signing of the Treaty of Friendship on 14 June 1949 in Washington DC, USA.
