ASEAN Prize 2023

The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand informs the Filipino community that the ASEAN Secretariat has officially launched the call for nominations for the ASEAN Prize 2023.

The ASEAN Prize is a regional premier award given annually in recognition of inspiring achievements of ASEAN citizens or ASEAN-based organizations which have made a significant contribution to ASEAN community-building efforts.

In its 6th edition this year, the ASEAN Prize continues to celebrate persons and organizations whose determination and perseverance have progressively driven the region towards harmony and sustainable development, while at the same time forging a stronger ASEAN identity. The ASEAN Prize 2023 Recipient will receive a trophy and monetary prize of US$20,000.

To qualify as the Philippines’ candidate, the nominee must either be a Filipino citizen or an organization created or led by the Philippines.

The nominee must show their verifiable achievements in promoting intra-ASEAN collaboration and the impact on ASEAN, among other requirements. The nominee should also share their future plans for continuing their work after winning the Prize. In addition, the submission must be supported by one character reference attesting to the nominee’s suitability to receive the ASEAN Prize.
