20220408 Advisory Issuance Ballots in Phuket

Due to the unexpected delay of the delivery of official ballots in Bangkok and to ensure the early receipt of ballots by registered overseas voters in the provinces of Phuket, Surat Thani, Krabi, and Phang-nga, the concerned registered voters may claim their ballots during the consular outreach mission at the Novotel Phuket Vintage Park located at 89 Rat-Uthid 200 Pee Road, Patong, Kathu, 83150 Phuket on Sunday, 10 April 2022 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

To claim your ballot, please present the following documents and information to the Embassy’s designated Special Ballot Reception & Custody Group (SBRCG) representative:

    1. Original and photocopy of valid Philippine passport, Voters’ ID, or seafarers’ book (Please note that there is NO photocopying service provided at the venue. Photocopying services may be availed at the business office of the hotel.)
    2. The Certified List of Overseas Voters (CLOV) sequence number that corresponds to your name:

If ballots are to be claimed through a representative (who must be a Filipino), 1 and 2 above must be provided together with the following additional requirements:

  1. An authorization letter indicating the name of the representative and signed by the registered voter/s; and
  2. Original and photocopy of the valid Philippine ID of the designated representative.

Representatives are NOT allowed to cast votes or accomplish ballots on behalf of another person. Ballots must be personally accomplished by the registered voter.

Please note that registered voters should accomplish their ballots outside the consular outreach venue, in their own time. Due to the expected high number of ballot claimants, there will be no voting area at the venue, in compliance with COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Accomplished ballots may either be dropped off at the designated drop box at the venue until 6:00PM of Sunday, 10 April 2022; or sent to the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok via mail, following the instructions in the mailing packet. The accomplished ballots must be received by the Embassy before the voting period closes.

Please further note that those who are unable to claim their ballot during the consular outreach will receive their ballot from the Embassy via registered mail.

Voters are strongly encouraged to accomplish their ballots as soon as possible upon receipt and immediately mail them back to the Embassy via registered mail not later than 02 May 2022, to ensure that they are received by the Embassy before the closing of the voting period at 6:00 PM (Bangkok time) on 09 May 2022.
