In line with this latest advisory from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Philippine Embassy will process the Philippine visa applications of foreigners domiciled in Thailand who will travel to the Philippines fifteen (15) days after their exit from China and its special administrative regions, if such travel was undertaken.

The decision on the visa application will be made on the working day following fourteen (14) calendar days from the exit stamp date on the visa applicant's passport and upon presentation of a medical certificate issued by a physician that is dated fourteen (14) calendar days from the date on the exit stamp.

A foreigner domiciled in Thailand is one who carries a valid Thai non-immigrant visa, a valid Thai work permit, or is a permanent resident of the Kingdom.

A foreigner who is not domiciled in Thailand must apply for a Philippine visa at the Philippine Embassy or Philippine Consulate in his or her country of domicile. The Philippines expects its visitors to plan their visit ahead of time and apply for a Philippine visa well in advance.

Those in Thailand with visa-free privileges to visit the Philippines must also be guided by the DFA advisory. Like in other countries, the decision to allow or deny entry into the Philippines is made by Philippine immigration officials, upon checking the travel history of visitors, among other border formalities.
